Biography:After schooling at Bell Baxter and Elmwood College, Andrew Arbuckle worked on the family farm on the outskirts of Newburgh. In 1985, he decided it was easier to write about agriculture rather than work in the industry and joined the Courier as the farming editor. In 1986, he successfully stood for Fife Regional Council and has been a member of the local authority since that date. Currently, he is chair of the North East Fife committee of the Council. He is also chair of the Lib/Dem group on the Council. He was a list MSP between Jan 2005 and March 2007 and during that time was finance spokesperson for the Parliamentary group. Outside his working life, his life long interest is in sport and that includes actively participating in athletics and passively watching Dundee United.

Councillor Tim Brett - Tay Bridgehead

Biography:Councillor for the Taybridgehead Ward which covers Newport,Wormit,Tayport,Leuchars,Balmullo and Guardbridge. Tim has been a Councillor since 2003 when he was first elected for the Newport and Wormit ward. He is a professional health service manager and held senior positions in the NHS in Tayside and latterly was Director of Health Protection Scotland , he has recently been appointed as a Non Executive Director of NHS Fife. Tim is a senior Councillor in the Lib Dem/SNP coalition which has formed the new administration of Fife Council. He is Chair of the Social Work and Health Committee, is a member of the Policy Finannce and Asset Management Committee, also is on the Councils Pension Committtee and is also a member of Fife's Drug and Alcohol Team. Tim does not hold regular surgeries but is very happy to meet constituents by arrangement if they contact him on 01382 330905.
