St Andrews Post Office - Smith to Visit with Post Office Officials

12.31.24pm BST (GMT +0100) Fri 22nd Jun 2007

North East Fife MSP Iain Smith will be joined by senior officers of Post Office Ltd on Friday 6th July for a site visit to St Andrews. They will be visiting the existing post office in South Street and the W.H. Smith shop across the road.

Mr Smith said, 'This will be a valuable opportunity for Post Office representatives to see at first-hand the difficulties that will be incurred should the move to W.H. Smith go ahead. They will experience for themselves the queues in the Post Office and the crowded nature of the stationers. It may be that they will decide that the move is not feasible but if they insist upon it then at least they will know exactly what the problems will be and they will be better-placed to come up with solutions to them.'
