'MAKE YOUR VIEWS KNOWN,' SMITH TELLS HOWE

6.23.04pm BST (GMT +0100) Mon 27th Aug 2007

As the consultation on the Kirkcaldy & Mid Fife Local Plan draws to a close

on Saturday 7th September, Iain Smith MSP urged residents of Falkland and

Freuchie to get involved and put in their comments before the deadline.

'Local people are the experts on their own areas. They are not only

familiar with the geography but are also aware of the sensitivities, so

they should ensure that Fife Council is left in no doubt of these. There

are many small areas throughout the Howe which could be seen as ripe for

development so it is of the utmost importance that the residents make their

views on them clearly known, in order that a coherent plan relevant to the

requirements of the people is achieved.'
