'BRAVO, BALMERINO,' SAYS SMITH

Iain Smith MSP has congratulated Balmerino Primary School upon its recent

HMIe Report. He said, 'I was particularly impressed by the attainment of

pupils in mathematics and also that the pupils were able to undertake

outdoor activities such as the observation of worms. The rating of the

partnership with parents and the community and the standard of pupils'

behaviour is also very encouraging.' Mr Smith went on to remark that he

was pleased to see that one of the activities cited as enhancing the

pupils' learning was a visit to the Scottish Parliament.
