OVERWHELMING RESPONSE TO BOUNDARY SURVEY

12.00.00am GMT Mon 10th Mar 2008

North East Fife MSP, Iain Smith has been inundated with responses to his recent survey from residents in Lundin Links and Largo about the proposed boundary changes. The proposal, which would remove the area from the North East Fife Scottish Parliament constituency and instead place it in Mid Fife and Glenrothes, has been met with huge opposition from local residents.

Commenting Iain Smith said, " This is what I expected when I conducted the survey. My post-bag is overflowing with responses in opposition to the proposal. The local community are quite clearly opposed to this and I hope the Boundary Commission take account of these views."
